Keynote Speaker, Mark McIntosh:

We are proud to have Mark McIntosh as this year's Keynote speaker. Known as the “Comeback Coach” Mark McIntosh entertains and inspires audiences of all kinds with keynote presentations, books and workshops encouraging others to “run to daylight” despite life’s challenges.

The Missouri native, and father of two great kids, has discovered in a lifetime of learning and leadership via athletics, television, radio, business and relationships that life's a fascinating roller coaster with many dips along the way. In an encouraging, thought-provoking and entertaining way via speaking, writing and coaching, Mark encourages others to play like champions in the game of life wherever they roam - home, work and elsewhere.

Lori Gallegos, Breakout Session:

Lori Gallegos is Director of Supply Chain for ExpressPoint, an electronics repair and logistics company. Lori has been at ExpressPoint since August 2011 and leads all Procurement, Forecasting, Planning, Scheduling, Freight and Forward Stocking activities. She is transforming a strong Supply Chain organization into one that is Best-In-Class.

Lori worked at Avaya from 2003 to 2011 and managed North American distribution, inventory control, forward stocking and transportation, in addition to global reverse logistics. During her time at Avaya Lori implemented a proactive asset recovery program that eliminated approximately $20m in annual write-offs for non-returns, reduced returns expense by more than $2m and centralized/globalized return call centers and policy in addition to leading the integration of the Nortel-Avaya warehousing network.Prior to Avaya, Lori spent 16 years at Qwest (formerly US West), managing various supply chain operations that included forecasting, planning, distribution, returns/repair and transportation.Lori earned a BA in Economics and MBA from the University of Colorado.

Mike Jones, Breakout Session:

Mike Jones was named President of St. Onge Company at the end of 2005. Headquartered in York, PA, with seventy employees, St. Onge is a highly respected supply chain and engineering firm boasting a wide range of national, international, and Fortune 500 clients. The company was recently named one of the World's Top 100 Supply Chain Partners, an honor it has received three of the last four years. Mike has been with the company for eighteen (18) years and has spent most of his time developing and managing the firm’s Supply Chain Strategy practice. Mike has managed strategic supply chain and inventory optimization studies on five (5) continents for more than seventy-five distribution and manufacturing client companies including the likes of Alcoa, AutoZone, ExxonMobil, The Gap, Hershey, Johnson & Johnson, Kraft, L'Oreal, Lowe's, Pepsi-Cola, Procter & Gamble, Rite Aid, and Valspar Paints. Mike and Julie, his wife of 19 years, live in Dallastown, Pennsylvania with their four children.

Speech Abstract: The presentation will discuss network optimization for domestic and international manufacturing and distribution networks. While a brief overview of network modeling tools and techniques will be provided, the emphasis of the presentation will be project management challenges and approach in dealing with a range of issues including poor data integrity, merger and acquisition environments, consideration of qualitative decision drivers, and international modeling. The presentation will also include interactive project examples.


David G. Ross, CFA, Director, Transportation Analyst, Panelist:

Dave Ross joined the Stifel Nicolaus research team in connection with Stifel’s acquisition of Legg Mason’s Capital Markets Group in December 2005. He covers the freight transportation industry, with a concentration in the Logistics, LTL and Parcel sectors. Mr. Ross joined Legg Mason in 2001. Prior to that, he worked as a financial analyst for RailWorks Corp. and before that as an investment banking analyst for Deutsche Banc Alex. Brown in its global transportation and logistics group.

Mr. Ross was ranked #1 for stock picking by the Financial Times/StarMine in the Road & Rail industry in 2009 and 2011 and #2 in 2010 and ranked #1 by the Wall Street Journal’s Best on the Street Analysts Survey in the Industrial Transportation industry in 2009 and 2010.

Mr. Ross earned his B.S.B.A. from Georgetown University with concentrations in finance and international business. He is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Baltimore CFA Society.

Diogo Lobo, Head of International Logisitics for JBS USA, Panelist:

Diogo Lobo and his logistics team are responsible for the International Logistics for JBS / Swift Beef Company the largest beef producer in the United States, for the world’s 2nd largest poultry producer JBS / Pilgrim’s and for JBS/ Swift Pork Company the 3rd largest pork producer within the US. The parent company Brazilian based JBS SA is the world’s leading protein producer and third largest food company in the world.

Diogo started his Logistics career with Sadia in Toledo, Brazil (now part of Brazil Foods) as a Strategic Planner in 2001, moving to on to become Logisitics Manager for Woolworths Meat Division of QKSA in Johannesburg, South Africa from 2005 until 2008 with posting both in South Africa and Ireland. In 2008, Diogo joined JBS USA, moving from various Logistics Project Management positions within the supply chain, inclusive of corporate Cold Storage management and eventually becoming Head of International Logisitics responsible for global shipments in excess of 50,000 FEUS per year.

Diogo hold various degrees in Supply Chain, International Trade and Food Technology having studied at Colleges in Brazil, South Africa and the US inclusive of an MBA in Logistics and Operations from IEGE International Institute of Management in Cascavel-Pr-Brazil in 2005.

George Roberge, Project C.U.R.E.’s Vice President of Operations, Panelist:

George Roberge, has helped lead the effort in delivering millions of dollars worth of medical supplies and equipment around the world, more than tripling the number of containers delivered since his arrival.

Bringing nearly three decades of experience to Project C.U.R.E. from the transportation and logistics industry, Mr. Roberge manages Project C.U.R.E.’s staff and volunteers in the area of operations. From the initial Request for Assistance all the way through the collection, transportation and final distribution to our partners on the ground, the VP of Operations maintains policies and protocols to ensure Project C.U.R.E.’s integrity and excellence.

Immediately prior to joining Project C.U.R.E., George was the president of Westway Express, a $70 million, 540-employee truckload carrier based in Commerce City, Colorado. He positioned the company for sale to Dick Simon Trucking, a firm five times the size of Westway Express.

Previously he held the position of President of SLT Express, Senior Vice President of Operations of Nationsway Transport and Vice President of Special Services at St. Johnsbury Trucking Company in Holliston, Massachusetts. George holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
